We have been talking about "baby sister" for 3 months now and we pray for her each night. The boys are very excited but they have also gone through the adoption process before. Alyssa isn't having as easy a time. She talks about her baby sister a lot and says she will share her toys with her and she sees things at the store that she says we should buy her. But, she also will ask us questions like "why do you want another little girl?" "Do we have to get a new baby sister?" I showed her a picture of an Ethiopian little girl the other day and Alyssa said, "I don't like that color of skin - and mommy, she'll be Chinese!" So, there are lots of things going on in Alyssa's head about this adoption! We are talking to her about all the things we can think of to help her with her questions and concerns. I guess in the end, it's typical of a 3 year old and of a girl used to being the only "princess" in the house.
